I was pretty bummed with Leisure Suit Larry when I got to the finish and it didn't have anything "more adult".

I don't think I ever finished a Leisure Suit Larry game.. I mostly only playe
the 3rd one. And I think it had a great soundtrack..

Was the third one Love for Sail? I never could really figure out how to
play it properly, so I just wandered around the ship meeting a few people
here and there until I got bored.

From what I remember, the 3rd one was Passionate Patti in Pursuit of Pulsating Pectorals. I don't think a ship was a big part of the game; I remember Larry walking around an island (it focused on an island called Noontoonyt or something). I also felt like it wasn't terribly exciting, but the dialogue was kinda funny & interesting sometimes (and I liked the music).

May have been. When you mentioned the music, it made me think of Love for
Sail. In that one, he is on a cruise ship. Some of the dialogue (and celebrity-parody character names) were kind of funny, but I never could
really figure out how to level up.

I could probably did out the box and see which number it was. I was just guessing it might have been the same one. ;)
