Didn't have to wait long to test a kernel upgrade on this newfangled scheme. Seems to have worked without changing anything else. I am sure that a kv-7 kernel will be a different story but that is getting way ahead of myself.

As usual the bash-ist fidonet msg'ing thingy is up-to-snuff without any changes. That makes this all worthwhile, wouldn't you say?
