1 Pan day old corn bread
1 1/2 c Wild rice
2 1/2 c White bread; diced, toasted
2 ts Salt
2 ts Bay leaves
1 lg Onion
4 Eggs; slightly beaten
3 Garlic heads
3 c Chicken or turkey broth
2 c Celery
2 c Sweet peppers

1 Can oysters
Chicken or turkey liver
2 tb Flour
2 tb Drippings or fat
Salt & pepper; to taste
2 Eggs
1 1/2 c Liquid *
* Oyster liquid? water?
Corn Bread And Wild Rice Dressing:
Mix corn bread, rice, and toasted bread. Add seasonings. Take onions,
garlic, and sweet peppers, which have been simmering over low heat,
and add to dry ingredients. Add broth and mix thoroughly. Add eggs,
which have been slightly beaten. Bake in oven as you would corn bread.
Oyster Gravy:
Cut up oysters and liver of chicken or turkey, brown with 2 tb flour
in a skillet and a small amount of drippings or fat.
Salt & pepper to taste, dice up 2 eggs, and add to other ingredients.
Add an equal amount of liquid (1-1/2 cups) and simmer for 15 minutes.
Serve over dressing.
